Mark Arritola
Dr. Mark Arritola is an engaging performer and instructor in the DFW area. He joins the North Texas Symphony as principal Clarinet and treasurer.
Before moving to Texas, Mark completed a 20+ year career with the United States Army Band.
As a bandsman, he performed in more than 3000 concerts and toured the entire United States, and over 20 countries in Europe and Asia.
As an instructor Dr. Arritola has taught private lessons in Texas schools for 12 years. He has produced award winners in UIL Solo and Ensemble, and All State Honor Bands.
As a college instructor he has served on the facilities of Central Texas College, Temple College, University of Mary-Harden Baylor, and Georgia state University.
He has performed in seven music festivals including the Festival de Sully in Orleans, France. The Aspen Music Festival in Colorado. Rocky Ridge Music Festival in Colorado. Festival of Music at Round Top Texas. The Manchester Music festival in Vermont. Hot Springs Music Festival in Arkansas. And the National Orchestral Institute in Maryland.
Dr. Arritola has received a Bachelor's of Music from Eastman School of Music, where he was a New York foundation of the arts scholar. He also received a Masters of Music from Southern Methodist University where he was a Meadows Artistic Scholar, and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Texas at Austin.
In addition to performing with the North Texas Symphony, Mark performs regularly with the Mansfield Philharmonic, Brazos Valley Symphony, Flower Mound Symphony, Dallas Wind Symphony, Dallas Asian Winds and Mansfield Wind Symphony.
